Okay my hair is thin, and nautraly dark blonde but I dye it a rich brown every 2 1/2 months. It is slightly damaged and I would like to change that.
Here are the things I do to take care of it:
Wash it only 3 times a week
Blow dry it on cold 3 times a week and straghten it only about 1 time per week
I use Matrix and healthy sexy hair shampoo and comditioner
I deep treat it twice a week and put a leave in conditioner on it 3 times a week overnight
I only comb it, never brush it
I only back comb it maybe once a month
I also take a hair skin and nail vitamin every day and an iron one every other day
Also, Id Fredrick Fekki a good brand?
Thank you.
What can I do to better improve the health of my hair? Ways to make your hair healthy:
Brushing it daily with a soft bristled brush for about ten minutes promotes a healthy scalp, by getting the blood circulating, thus healthy hair
Drink plenty of water daily
Stop coloring it so often (chemicals are so harsh on the hair)
Stop straightening it so often
Get the dry "ends" trimmed every six to eight weeks
Don't smoke (nicotine dulls the hair )
**With thin hair, you need to be so careful how you treat your hair, especially when it comes to using chemicals %26amp; hair products high in alcohol content or you'll start losing it. **

My advice is to let it be natural. hope this helps.

What can I do to better improve the health of my hair? Unfortunately, hair is dead, so any changes are purely cosmetic.
However, eating right and not over-processing are good ideas, as are frequent washings. A reputable stylist once told me that the damage causes by dirt and oils is much more stressful to hair that soap and water.
Also, rinse thoroughly. When you're sure all the shampoo/conditioner is out, rinse again. Build-up of any kind is a killer for fine hair.
PS - your colour choice sounds lovely.

What can I do to better improve the health of my hair? Hey Ashley...sounds like you and I have some similar issues with our hair...although I'm sure yours isn't nearly as terrible to deal with as mine. I've been doing countless hours of research on how to keep my thin hair as healthy as possible and some really great tips are...
1. Drink plenty of green tea every single day...the catechins in it help to keep DHT (a bi-product of naturally occurring testosterone) from settling on your hair follicles...which means your hair will thrive and thicken to a certain extent...some of us are just detined to have thin hair!
2. Use ginko biloba both as a supplement and as a topical paste...it will increase circulation all over...including your scalp!
3. Look for a shampoo that includes Rosemary...this is supposedly a miracle herb for your hair...I've been using it in my cooking for the past month or so and my hair has definitely improved!
4. I know we all get totally sick of hearing it, but really try your very best to drink tons of water...it'll help flush out your kidneys and liver...when toxins build up in these organs it directly affects all areas of your body...another great fix to fight liver toxicity is an herb called Milk Thistle
5. Try using a Demi-permanent gloss colour instead of the harsh ammonia based dyes that most women use...not only will your colour be lusterous and mult-faceted, but it will also provide a nice deep glossy finish!
I really hope these tips will provide you with a great start to fabulous hair!
