I don't know how long your hair is, but something I always do if I have a 'do' to go to is get small sections of hair, twist them and then pin them to the back of my head with those plain brown hair-grips that you can buy in any chemists. I don't worry too much about doing it carefully - it looks better when it's sort of messy and deconstructed. If you want to do it carefully you could pin the twists of hair in a pattern; that would look cool, too. It works better if your hair is sort of mid-length or shorter - if you've got long hair you can do a similar style but you might have to make your twisty bits bigger, or not put all your hair up. Have a nice time at your party.. hope your hair looks cool, whatever you do with it.

You say you don't like using heat appliances, and I don't blame you. Instead roller set your hair. After you wash it, use the big rollers and roll your hair. Since you may not want to sit under a hair dryer, just let your hair air dry-even though this takes some time! If you roll your hair right (meaning tight enough) it will be straighten your hair and leave you with curls at the end.

Try wearing a cute scarf/headband on days when you don't really feel like doing too much with your hair.

*pleasee stop using pantene! its horrible for your type of hair. you should avoid benzyl alcohol because it dries out the hair and almost all of the pantene products have them. ive tried it! *u should use catwalk curls rock mousse.

*samy curls shampoo and conditioner is pretty cheap and works well. or if ur willing to spend more, use catwalk curls rock shampoo and conditioner.

*i do the same thing. (just rinse with conditioner and wash with shampoo like once a week.) and thats good.

*you should also try samy curls defining cream

*and if u want to use a gel. use LA Looks curly hair gel

Your hair is beautiful! I would try a product line by Redkin called Fresh Curls. I really like it. It gives you a deep moisture treatment but does not weight your hair to pull out the curl. On the days you wanna straighten your hair try ysing Aussie Moist shampoo and conditioner. It is a bit heavier and will protect your hair better when using an iron. But it is not greasy feeling.
